End of Service Policy
DTS Software products are packaged in a Service Level and are not individually upgradeable. Zaps may be distributed for certain high-priority fixes, but do not change the product's version number. You can identify your Service Level by issuing the F DIF,SL
command.
When a new version of z/OS is released, a Minimum Compatible Service Level of DTS Software products is established. Any new Service Levels released between the current Minimum Compatible Service Level and before the next Minimum Compatible Service level are fully supported alongside that version of z/OS. When IBM ends standard support for a version of z/OS, the corresponding DTS Software products are considered to have reached End of Service.
For customers experiencing issues on an unsupported version of z/OS, a zap may be written depending on the severity of the issue and expected difficulty. Customers who are experiencing issues and running a version of DTS Software products below the Minimum Compatible Service Level will be asked to first upgrade to a compatible version to see if that fixes the issue.
Below is a list of Service Levels that have reached End of Service. To see current versions, please visit the Software Release Information page.
